Job Title: Senior Legal Counsel

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Legal Counsel to join our team in Calgary, AB. As a key member of our legal department, you will provide expert guidance to stakeholders on all legal matters, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide strategic leadership on all business development and commercial matters
  • Create standards and processes for drafting agreements, mitigating and addressing contractual risks
  • Support the company's interest on all legal proceedings, including litigations, arbitrations, and hearings
  • Ensure the firm's operations comply with all relevant laws and regulations
  • Provide guidance and support to legal staff on all legal inquiries and requests
Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Law (LLB) from an accredited Canadian university and current membership with the Law Society of Alberta
  • 10+ years' experience in Corporate and/or Contract Law, with a minimum of 3 years' experience in the Aviation sector
  • Excellent business acumen and understanding of commercial agreements
  • Strong analytical thinking, planning, prioritization, and execution skills
  • Ability to respond appropriately in pressure situations with a calm and steady demeanor
