About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Early Childhood Educator to join our team at the YMCA of Southwestern Ontario. As an Early Childhood Educator, you will play a vital role in providing a safe and nurturing environment for children to learn and grow.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement child-care programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
  • Establish and maintain a safe and healthy environment that protects the well-being of children.
  • Encourage children to express their creativity through various activities such as art, music, and physical play.
  • Guide and assist children in developing proper eating, dressing, and toilet habits.
  • Observe children for signs of potential learning or behavioral problems and prepare reports for parents or guardians.
  • Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with co-workers and community service providers working with children.
  • Plan and maintain an environment that promotes the health, security, and well-being of children.
Requirements
  • Member of the College of Early Childhood Educators (CECE)
  • Early Childhood Education (ECE) Certificate
  • First Aid Certificate
  • CPR Certificate
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a team.
