About the Role

As a Logistics Coordinator at Atlantic Packaging, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth and efficient movement of goods. You will be responsible for coordinating driver schedules, managing pickups and deliveries, and maintaining accurate records.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Handle all inquiries regarding pickups and general load/driver information.
  • Plan and manage driver routes and schedules to optimize efficiency.
  • Communicate with drivers to ensure timely pickups and address any issues or delays.
  • Maintain detailed records of driver activities and shipments for accurate tracking.
  • Assist customers with various shipping needs beyond standard operations.
  • Create and book loads within our logistics system (Descartes).
  • Report any concerns regarding drivers, load plans, or system functionality to the Dispatch Coordinator or Supervisor.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

What We Look For:

  • 3-5 years of progressive experience in a dispatch role within the logistics industry.
  • Post-secondary education is preferred but not required.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Professional demeanor when interacting with vendors and customers.
