Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Logistics Coordinator to join our team in Hamilton, Ontario. As a Logistics Coordinator, you will be responsible for coordinating the movement of freight across North America and globally, ensuring that our customers' needs are met.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors and partners
  • Negotiate with shippers and carriers to secure the best rates and services
  • Enter data into our system to create load sheets and track shipments
  • Monitor pickup and delivery of shipments, ensuring timely and efficient movement
  • Prepare and process shipping documentation, including customs forms and commercial invoices
  • Communicate effectively with clients and carriers to resolve any issues or concerns
  • Perform minor accounting functions and data entry tasks

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in logistics or transportation, preferably in a 3PL environment
  • Knowledge of cross-border US/Mexico/Canada transportation, including OTR truckload, dry van, flatbed, and reefer
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to participate in continuous changes to customer data procedures and ensure new changes are maintained
  • Problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and high-level multi-tasking skills
  • Professional phone mannerisms and an outgoing personality
  • Flexibility and a willingness to work in a dynamic environment
