Infrastructure Solutions Architect

Position Overview:
We are on the lookout for a talented and experienced Infrastructure Solutions Architect to join our dedicated team. The ideal candidate will lead a group of network and systems engineers, managing all facets of our IT infrastructure, which encompasses networking, servers, storage, databases, security, and backup systems. This role is crucial in ensuring the reliability, security, and scalability of our IT frameworks to facilitate the organization's operational needs and growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and maintain the organization's IT infrastructure, including networking, servers, storage, databases, security, and backup systems.
- Design and implement IT infrastructure processes to guarantee optimal performance, reliability, and security.
- Lead the design, deployment, and maintenance of network infrastructure, including LAN/WAN, routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs.
- Direct the design, deployment, and maintenance of server infrastructure, including virtualization, operating systems, and server hardware.
- Manage the design, deployment, and maintenance of storage solutions, including SAN/NAS systems and data backup/recovery processes.
- Ensure the security of IT systems and data through the application of security measures and protocols.
- Monitor and assess system performance, capacity, and availability, providing recommendations for enhancements.
- Manage IT projects related to infrastructure upgrades, migrations, and expansions.
- Collaborate with other IT teams and departments to align with business needs and objectives.
- Stay informed about industry trends and best practices in IT infrastructure management and technology.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in IT infrastructure management or a comparable role.
- Extensive knowledge of server administration (e.g., Windows Server, RHEL, SLES), virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V), and server hardware.
- Expertise in managing storage solutions, backup/recovery processes, and data protection technologies.
- Strong understanding of database management systems (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle, DB2).
- Familiarity with networking principles and protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, and routing/switching.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity principles, practices, and tools, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and security policies.
- Exceptional communication, leadership, and problem-solving abilities.
- Capacity to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while managing multiple priorities.
- Understanding of cloud computing platforms (e.g., Azure, GCP).
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA, MCSE, CISSP) are advantageous.
