Job Summary
We are seeking highly skilled Apprentice and Journeyman Electricians to join our team in Victoria, BC. As an electrician with Mazzei Electric, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, including commercial, residential, and industrial electrical installations. You will be responsible for conduit bending, reading and interpreting drawings and schematics, drilling and cable-pulling, cutting in and splicing switches/receptacles/lights, and using standard construction power tools.
Responsibilities
- Conduit bending and installation
- Reading and interpreting electrical drawings and schematics
- Drilling and cable-pulling for electrical installations
- Cutting in and splicing electrical switches, receptacles, and lights
- Operating standard construction power tools
Requirements
- Registered apprentice through ITA with a minimum of one year of schooling in the electrical field
- Electrical field experience required
- Commercial/residential construction experience an asset
- Basic hand tools and cordless power tools
- Valid class 5 driver's license
- Adequate knowledge of the Canadian Electrical Code (CEC)
- Ability to work out of town, longer shifts, and/or evening shifts
Compensation
Compensation for this role ranges from $19.79/hour to $30.69/hour for apprentices and $36/hour for Journeyman electricians. Health and dental benefits, as well as RRSP matching after one year, are also included in the total compensation package.
