About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Plant Engineer to join our team at Shogun Maitake Canada Co Ltd. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing manufacturing systems to optimize production processes and improve efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Implement Manufacturing Systems: Develop and implement manufacturing systems to optimize the use of computer networks, robots, and materials.
  • Conduct Performance Reviews: Conduct regular performance reviews to assess the effectiveness of manufacturing systems and identify areas for improvement.
  • Optimize Inventory Levels: Conduct studies to determine optimum inventory levels and implement programs to optimize inventory management.
  • Supervise Team Members: Supervise a team of technicians, technologists, analysts, and administrative staff to ensure the smooth operation of manufacturing systems.
  • Analyze Costs and Improve Efficiency: Analyze costs of production and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
  • Develop Maintenance Standards: Develop and implement maintenance standards, schedules, and programs to ensure the reliability and performance of plant facilities.
  • Enhance Industrial Health and Safety: Establish programs and conduct studies to enhance industrial health and safety and identify and correct fire and other hazards.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Computer and Technology Knowledge: Proficient in computer-aided design (CAD) and MS Office.
  • Manufacturing Sector Experience: Experience in the food manufacturing sector.
  • Area of Specialization: Production system.
  • Transportation/Travel Information: Willing to travel internationally.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
