Building Maintenance Technician

Position Overview: The Facilities Technician is accountable for executing preventative and corrective maintenance tasks across multiple sites, ensuring optimal functionality of facility operations. This role requires troubleshooting, repairing, calibrating, and maintaining essential systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct routine hands-on maintenance on various systems, including HVAC, chillers, air handling units, and boilers.
- Address all facility-related issues promptly, including lighting repairs, office relocations, and plumbing concerns.
- Perform preventative maintenance activities to guarantee uninterrupted site operations.
- Engage in the Health and Safety Committee to promote workplace safety.
- Provide on-call support every other weekend, alternating with other facility staff to manage emergency calls and troubleshooting requests.
Qualifications:
- Completion of a college diploma or apprenticeship in HVAC or Building Maintenance.
- A minimum of 6 years of relevant experience in facility maintenance.
- Demonstrated mechanical aptitude with strong troubleshooting skills.
- Customer-focused with the ability to foster positive relationships.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and planning capabilities.
- Strong interpersonal skills, capable of working both independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines effectively.
- Availability for on-call support during evenings and weekends as required.
- Willingness to respond to urgent calls at any hour.
