Join the dynamic team at NAIT as we seek a remarkable individual for the position of Manager, Credit New Product Development. This pivotal leadership role is essential for driving the evolution of our innovative credit programming initiatives.
As a vital member of the Corporate and Continuing Education (CCE) leadership team, you will report directly to the Executive Director of CCE and Product Development. This role functions within a highly collaborative environment, engaging with external stakeholders such as the Ministry, corporate partners, and post-secondary institutions on various levels. Internally, you will work closely with diverse departments including Schools, Academic Quality and Operational Excellence (AQOE), and the Registrar's Office.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership:
- Drive institutional initiatives to enhance NAIT's new credit programming.
- Establish and execute academic standards for new credentials, including degrees, diplomas, and certificates.
- Conduct research and analysis to support NAIT's strategic direction in credit programming.
- Collaborate with the Campus Alberta Quality Council to ensure robust quality assurance for new programs.
- Partner with academic leaders to create integrated pathways between Continuing Education and credit offerings.
Operational Excellence:
- Lead the development and execution of processes for evaluating and recommending new programming at NAIT.
- Work with AQOE and Program Quality teams to phase out outdated programs.
- Identify and cultivate pathways for student mobility concerning new credit offerings.
- Manage a budget for operational costs and the development of new credit programs.
Collaboration and Communication:
- Engage with NAIT's Product Mix Committee and Market Research Manager to analyze market data.
- Collaborate with marketing and recruitment teams on strategies for new credit programs.
- Oversee submissions of new credit programs to the Government of Alberta, ensuring compliance with CAQC and the Alberta Credit Framework.
- Network with other post-secondary institutions and industry partners to explore new program opportunities.
Skills & Abilities:
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- In-depth knowledge of leadership methodologies and practices.
- Comprehensive understanding of Alberta's postsecondary regulations and policies related to credit program development.
- Robust business acumen with expertise in process improvement.
- Thorough knowledge of industry trends to inform curriculum design.
- Adept at analyzing complex information to resolve issues effectively.
- Skilled in planning and prioritizing tasks to align with organizational objectives.
- Proficient in managing conflict situations constructively.
- Foster a supportive culture that motivates individuals to excel in achieving organizational goals.
- Build trust and confidence through integrity and authenticity.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of a related undergraduate degree is required.
- A Master's degree is considered an asset.
- Extensive relevant experience, including leadership roles, curriculum development, and business skills.
- Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered.
