Electrical Design Engineer for Highway and Road Projects

Egis Canada is seeking a highly skilled Electrical Design Engineer to join our team in Ontario. As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing electrical systems for highway and road projects, including roadway lighting and traffic signals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop electrical systems for highway and road projects, including roadway lighting and traffic signals.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure electrical systems meet project requirements and standards.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients, approval agencies, and utility companies.
  • Prepare technical reports, contract documents, and design drawings for electrical systems.
  • Provide guidance and oversight to junior engineers and technical staff.
Requirements:
  • University degree in Electrical Engineering with a focus on roadway lighting and traffic signals.
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in electrical design for highway and road projects.
  • Licensed as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in the province of Ontario.
  • Excellent reputation working with MTO and other Municipalities in Ontario.
  • Ability to be approved in the MTO RAQS system for Major and Minor Electrical Work Categories.
  • Proficient with AGi32, Autolux, and AutoCAD.
  • Experience with project management and consulting engineering environment.
