About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to join our team at Egis Canada. As a key member of our Highway Engineering Team, you will be responsible for leading electrical design projects for major transportation infrastructure initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as a technical lead for electrical design projects, ensuring high-quality deliverables and meeting client expectations.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients, approval agencies, and industry professionals to drive business growth and development.
  • Provide technical guidance and oversight to junior engineers and technical staff, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in their roles.
  • Collaborate with senior management to execute strategic growth initiatives and drive business success.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and regulatory requirements to ensure our designs meet the highest standards.
Requirements
  • University degree in Electrical Engineering with a focus on roadway lighting and traffic signals.
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in electrical design for road and highway projects, including high mast lighting design, conventional lighting design, and traffic signal design.
  • Licensed as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in the province of Ontario.
  • Excellent reputation working with MTO and other Municipalities in Ontario.
  • Ability to be approved in the MTO RAQS system for Major and Minor Electrical Work Categories.
  • Proficient with AGi32, Autolux, and AutoCAD.
  • Strong project management skills and experience working in a consulting engineering environment.
  • Thorough knowledge of Highway/Transportation Engineering policies, regulations, guidelines, and operational procedures.
