We are seeking a highly skilled Director, Disability Pricing & Profitability Management to join our Group Benefits Finance team. Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement pricing strategies to achieve financial objectives, leveraging market insights and competitive dynamics.
- Lead experience studies and enhance pricing models to optimize business performance.
- Own the generalized pricing framework used by Underwriting to price Short-Term Disability and Long-Term Disability business.
- Collaborate with Underwriting and Business Development on bespoke and large transactions.
- Monitor and analyze monthly and quarterly results to drive business action.
- Provide regular forecasts and enhance our forecasting capabilities to inform business decisions.
- Work with reinsurance partners to share market insights and drive business growth.
- Support GB's planning process to ensure alignment with business objectives.
- Lead a team of four associates and one coop, fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence.
- Attract, develop, and retain a high-performing team, driving business results through effective leadership.
- Member of the GB Pricing Leadership Team, contributing to strategic decision-making and business growth.
- Qualified FSA and/or FCIA, with a strong background in actuarial science and finance.
- 7 years of relevant experience in the Insurance or Group Benefits industry, with a proven track record of driving business results.
- Strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to drive actionable insights.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to adapt messaging to various audiences.
- Collaborative mindset, with the ability to work effectively across teams to drive business growth.
- Ability to lead projects and manage multiple priorities, with a focus on delivering results.
- Keen interest in process improvement and analytics, with a passion for driving business excellence.
