Kitchen Assistant

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Kitchen Helper to join our team at Asian Buffet. As a Kitchen Helper, you will be responsible for assisting in the preparation and presentation of food, maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment, and supporting the kitchen team in achieving our high standards.
Responsibilities:- Assist in food preparation, including washing, peeling, and chopping vegetables and fruits.
- Help to maintain a clean and organized kitchen, including washing dishes, sweeping and mopping floors, and cleaning equipment.
- Support the kitchen team in preparing and serving food, including plating and garnishing dishes.
- Assist with receiving and storing supplies, including inventory management and ordering.
- Help to maintain a safe and healthy kitchen environment, including adhering to food safety and sanitation procedures.
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Experience in a kitchen environment is an asset.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift heavy objects.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Fast-paced environment with high volume of customers.
- Physically demanding with frequent standing, walking, and lifting.
- May require working in a hot kitchen environment with exposure to heat, steam, and cleaning chemicals.
