The Southlake Regional Health Centre is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Nurse Educator to provide leadership, education, and clinical expertise in the support, orientation, and competency-based skills development of hospital staff.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and Implement Educational Programs: Design, implement, and evaluate ongoing educational programs for staff to enhance their knowledge and skills.
- Lead Clinical Pathways and Patient Care Guidelines: Develop, implement, and evaluate clinical pathways and patient care guidelines to ensure evidence-based practices are integrated into care delivery.
- Assess and Support Staff Learning Needs: Assess the learning needs of staff and provide support to help them meet their learning goals.
- Develop and Implement Evidence-Based Practice Activities: Develop, implement, and evaluate evidence-based practice activities and educational information for clinical staff.
- Monitor Nursing and Healthcare Trends: Monitor nursing and healthcare trends and collaborate with others to integrate relevant information into education activities and responsibilities.
- Plan and Implement Outcome-Oriented Changes: Plan, implement, and evaluate evidence-based outcome-oriented changes in clinical practices and care delivery processes.
- Coordinate Patient Teaching Programs: Coordinate, implement, and evaluate content and process of patient teaching programs as they relate to the clinical area.
- Participate in Corporate Clinical Educational Programs: Participate with other educators and professional practice facilitators in the development and delivery of corporate clinical educational programs.
- Registered Nurse with the College of Nurses of Ontario
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
- Minimum Three to Five Years of Recent and Relevant Clinical Nursing Experience
- CC1/CC2 Certification or Obtained within the First Year
- Advanced Knowledge and Expertise with Central Venous Access Devices
- Certificate in Adult Education Principles or One to Two Years of Adult Training Experience
- Best Practice Spotlight Organization Champion Designation or Willingness to Pursue within One Month of Hire Date
