About the Role

Conair Consumer Products ULC is a leading beauty care and small kitchen appliances company that services the retail and professional markets in Canada with brands such as Conair, Cuisinart, and BaBylissPRO.

We are seeking a Product Manager to join our Professional division, which markets products solely to the Hair Stylists and Barbers segment under the lead brand of BaBylissPRO.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Product Development: Manage the overall development of product lines within assigned categories in our Professional (PRO) division, accounting for 70% of responsibilities.
  2. Product Launch Execution: Execute new product launches through the development of packaging, POP material, and other related support material.
  3. Strategic Planning: Develop and execute strategic plans for assigned categories to successfully achieve the budgeted goals.
  4. Product Introduction and Measurement: Formulate and execute plans related to specific product introductions and subsequent measurement of sales impact in the marketplace.
  5. Product Presentations: Lead product presentations to internal sales team and external customer base.
  6. New Product Sourcing: Source new products with overseas vendors.
  7. Pricing Recommendations: Provide recommendations on pricing of products within categories.
  8. Product Review and Analysis: Ongoing review/analysis of products within categories, including inventory levels, while providing recommendations with respect to slow moving SKUs.
  9. Marketplace Analysis: Ongoing review/analysis of the competitive marketplace related to current and new products within categories.
  10. Support Sales: Support sales in terms of product information, trends, samples, competitive information, and promotional strategies.
  11. Collaboration with Marketing: Collaborate with the Marketing team to develop and execute product promotions and campaigns.
  12. Reporting and Presentations: Prepare reports, reviews, and presentations.
Requirements
  1. Degree in Marketing, Business, or related field.
  2. Minimum 5 years of product development experience in the consumer packaged goods industry.
  3. Beauty industry experience an asset.
  4. Fluently bilingual in English & French.
  5. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  6. Ability to work independently and with initiative.
  7. Team player with the ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment.
  8. Highly organized with excellent time management skills.
  9. Strong attention to detail and an extremely high level of accuracy.
  10. Strong judgement and problem solving skills.
  11. Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams).
