Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of financial transaction coordinators to ensure accurate and timely time entry, billing, and revenue recognition.
  • Provide financial guidance and support to project managers to ensure compliance with client contracts and payment terms.
  • Develop and implement financial reporting and analysis to drive district financial performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with operations to support reporting and analysis requirements, including project setup, rates, and other analyses.
  • Support customer requests, customer audits, and ad-hoc requests.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in project accounting, with a strong understanding of client contracts, payment terms, and burden reimbursement.
  • Expertise in forecasting, project profitability analysis, and customer audits.
  • Strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience in team leadership and collaboration.
  • Highly organized, efficient, and self-motivated.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Collaborative team player.
  • High accuracy and precision in repetitive tasks.
  • Proficient in project cost control (labor, materials, equipment, third-party services).
  • Knowledge of accounts payable and receivable processes.
  • Skilled in word processing and presentation tools.
  • Ability to operate in a high-pressure, deliverable-focused environment.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Excel.
  • Managed and supported DSO improvement.
  • IFS experience is an asset.
  • University Degree in Accounting or Finance; pursuing or completed CA, CMA, CGA, or CPA designation.
