Job Summary

We are seeking an Accounting Technician to join our Agriculture team. As a trusted advisor, you will deliver specialized expertise to our clients, from primary producers to food and beverage operations. Your role will involve assisting with compilation, review, audit, bookkeeping, and tax engagements, as well as preparing and maintaining government remittances and accounts.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with financial statement preparation and review
  • Prepare and maintain government remittances and accounts
  • Set up client files and assist with budget completion
  • Perform month-end and quarter-end close process
  • Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts
  • Identify and investigate discrepancies and errors
  • Communicate with government regarding information requests and assessments
  • Work collaboratively with the client engagement team

Requirements

  • Accounting certificate or bachelor's degree in commerce or business administration
  • Entry-level to 2 years of relevant accounting experience
  • Experience preparing T4s and T5s and knowledge of personal and corporate tax
  • Working knowledge of basic accounting principles and processes
  • Experience working with accounting and tax software
