Executive Director, Toronto Dementia Research Alliance

The University of Toronto is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Director to lead the Toronto Dementia Research Alliance (TDRA). As a key member of the University's faculty, the successful candidate will be responsible for driving the strategic direction of the TDRA and advancing the University's research and clinical goals in the field of dementia.
Key Responsibilities- Strategic Planning and Leadership
- Develop and implement long-term plans and strategies to advance the TDRA's vision and mission.
- Lead the TDRA Executive Committee and other key stakeholders to ensure alignment and effective collaboration.
- Research and Clinical Initiatives
- Oversee the development and implementation of research and clinical initiatives that align with the TDRA's goals and objectives.
- Collaborate with researchers, clinicians, and other stakeholders to advance the understanding and treatment of dementia.
- Stakeholder Engagement and Partnerships
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including government agencies, private sector organizations, and community groups.
- Develop and implement strategies to secure funding and resources to support the TDRA's initiatives.
- Program Management and Evaluation
- Oversee the development and implementation of programs and services that support the TDRA's goals and objectives.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of programs and services and make recommendations for improvement.
- Education and Experience
- MD degree with certification from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada or its equivalent in any area of medicine.
- Expertise in dementia, Alzheimer's disease, or a related field.
- Proven track record of leadership and management experience in a research or clinical setting.
- Skills and Abilities
- Strong strategic planning and leadership skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
- Proven ability to secure funding and resources to support research and clinical initiatives.
