Merchandising Specialist Job Overview

Role Summary

As a key player in a dynamic fashion organization, the Merchandising Specialist is responsible for crafting an engaging atmosphere that encourages customers to discover their unique style. This position plays a vital role in guiding the store team to provide an exceptional Customer Experience that aligns with the brand's ethos. The Merchandising Specialist will proactively enhance sales within the store and uphold the Visual Identity.

This role reports to the Store Visual Manager or the Store Manager.

Daily Responsibilities

Sales and Profitability

  • Arrange garment displays on the Sales Floor & Windows in accordance with established guidelines.
  • Identify additional commercial opportunities within the store and implement necessary floor adjustments.

Fashion Acumen

  • Remain informed about current fashion trends.
  • Communicate seasonal trend insights and brand standards to the team.

Customer Engagement

  • Exceed customer expectations and facilitate a superior shopping experience.
  • Adhere to Visual Identity standards and maintain high-quality garment displays.

Commercial Operations

  • Monitor Store KPIs and adjust store planning based on requirements and budget constraints.
  • Ensure timely completion of all sales campaigns and initiatives.

Visual Operations

  • Implement floor changes, keep visual materials updated, and ensure all props are well-maintained.

Team Development

Assist the store team through coaching and skill development, ensuring compliance with all legal standards and policies.

Training and Growth

  • Assess and enhance the visual and commercial capabilities of the team.
  • Recognize potential talent for future leadership roles.

Communication and Compliance

  • Ensure all communications adhere to local regulations.

Safety and Security

  • Operate in accordance with safety and security protocols, following all procedures diligently.

Qualifications

  • Inclusive, positive, creative, and eager to learn.
  • Passionate about customer service and assisting individuals in finding their style.
  • Ability to multitask with a keen eye for detail.
  • 1-2+ years of relevant experience preferred.
  • Physical capability to lift, stand for extended periods, climb ladders, and use tools.
  • Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends.
  • Potential travel may be required.
