Hensall Co-op is seeking a detail-oriented individual to join our Payroll team as a Payroll Clerk. This is a full-time, contract position for approximately 13 months. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and processing biweekly payroll for hourly employees. Key responsibilities include reviewing and ensuring accuracy on approved timesheets, making deductions, and ensuring all employees are compensated correctly and on time. The Payroll Clerk will also maintain records daily through ADP, handle electronic timekeeping system administration, respond to employee and manager inquiries, and prepare records of employment for terminated and laid-off employees. Additionally, the Payroll Clerk will assist employees and managers with ADP Workforce Now, file reports and payroll materials electronically, and prepare payroll for processing. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of accounts and maintaining ledgers, analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and high-level computer skills. A post-secondary education in accounting, finance, or payroll-related program and minimum 1 year of experience in an office environment with payroll background are required.
