Job Title: Class 1 Operator

Vertex is currently seeking a highly skilled Class 1 Operator to join our team at our Lac La Biche location.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a reliable and experienced Class 1 Operator to operate heavy equipment and transport goods safely and efficiently. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in operating semi-trucks, combo units, and other heavy equipment.

Responsibilities:
  • Operate heavy equipment and transport goods safely and efficiently
  • Participate in safety programs and ensure all company and customer policies are adhered to
  • Attend and participate in toolbox talks and safety meetings
  • Work as a team player with coworkers, contractors, and customers
  • Ensure customer and client satisfaction by providing excellent customer service
  • Follow all local, provincial, and federal compliance regulations and rules
Requirements:
  • Class 1 licence with a clean commercial abstract
  • 1+ year experience operating semi-trucks, combo units, and other heavy equipment
  • Mandatory safety tickets required: CSTS 20, H2S Alive, First Aid, Fall Protection, Confined Space & CSO
  • Ability to lift heavy tools and parts
  • Ability to work at heights of more than 6 feet and confined spaces when required
