Job Title: Class 1 Operator

Vertex is currently seeking a highly skilled Class 1 Operator to join our team at our Lac La Biche location.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a reliable and experienced Class 1 Operator to operate heavy equipment and transport goods safely and efficiently. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in oilfield operations and be able to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Operate heavy equipment, including semi-trucks and vacuum trucks, in a safe and professional manner.
  • Transport goods and materials to and from various locations, adhering to all safety protocols and regulations.
  • Participate in safety programs and ensure all company and customer policies and procedures are followed.
  • Attend and participate in toolbox talks and safety meetings, FLRA's, hazard assessment development, pre-trips/post-trips.
  • Work collaboratively with coworkers, contractors, and customers to ensure excellent customer service.
  • Ensure all safety certificate training is up to date and perform maintenance on units to ensure cleanliness and efficient operation.
  • Complete and maintain all required paperwork and documentation properly within set timelines.
Requirements:
  • Class 1 licence with a clean commercial abstract.
  • 1+ year experience operating semi or combo vacs.
  • Mandatory safety tickets required: CSTS 20, H2S Alive, First Aid, Fall Protection, Confined Space & CSO.
  • Experience operating super B's, semi vacs, combo units, hydro vacs, body vacs, sour seal, & tankers.
  • Minimum 1-year oilfield experience.
