Job Summary

Kiewit Infrastructure Engineering (KIE) is seeking a seasoned and dynamic Environmental Manager to lead our most complex transportation-related environmental planning projects. The ideal candidate will have experience working with state and federal agencies, as well as provincial transportation ministries and transit agencies.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Lead the environmental aspects of proposals and projects, including schedule and estimate development.
  2. Support and facilitate delivery of environmental Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for other proposals and projects.
  3. Develop and support environmental staff across our district.
  4. Collaborate with transportation planning, engineering, urban design/landscape design, and other disciplines to develop and implement environmental strategies.
  5. Inform master scheduling with environmental and permitting requirements.
  6. Prepare scope, schedule, and budget for new projects and respond to Requests for Proposals (RFPs) with similar information.
  7. Develop documents that meet environmental approval and permitting requirements, including environmental management plans and submittals.
  8. Perform quality reviews of deliverables to ensure high-quality products are produced on time and budget.
  9. Provide guidance and support to less experienced staff on technical and professional issues.
Requirements
  1. 20 or more years of experience in progressively more complex environmental planning roles.
  2. Appropriate degrees in Landscape Architecture, Planning, Environmental Planning, Urban Design, Architecture, or Engineering.
  3. Mastery of Microsoft 365 products to perform assigned tasks.
  4. Passion for safety, with the ability to help us ensure that nobody gets hurt.
  5. Strong organization, time management, and attention to detail.
