Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and caring individual to join our team as an Early Childhood Educator Assistant at Kumon. As a key member of our childcare team, you will play a vital role in supporting the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of young children.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in Maintaining a Safe and Healthy Environment
    • Assist co-workers in housekeeping and cooking duties to ensure a clean and safe environment for children.
  • Support Child Development Programs
    • Develop and implement child-care programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
  • Assist with Administrative Tasks
    • Assist early childhood educators or supervisors in keeping records of children's progress and development.
  • Engage Children in Activities
    • Engage children in activities such as telling stories, teaching songs, and preparing crafts to promote their cognitive and creative development.
  • Support Children's Daily Needs
    • Guide and assist children in developing proper eating, dressing, and toilet habits.
  • Prepare Meals and Snacks
    • Prepare snacks and arrange rooms or furniture for lunch and rest periods to ensure children's physical needs are met.
  • Communicate with Colleagues
    • Submit written observations on children to early childhood educators or supervisors and attend staff meetings to discuss progress and problems of children.
Requirements
  • Education
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience
    • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a childcare setting.
  • Language
    • Fluency in English.
  • Work Arrangements
    • Temporary work arrangement.
  • Work Hours
    • 30 to 40 hours per week.
