Key Responsibilities

The Assistant BIM Manager will take a lead role, under the direction of the BIM Manager, in managing BIM processes and collaborating with engineers and technicians on BIM projects. Responsibilities include establishing standards and procedures for BIM model development, ensuring model conformity and data compatibility.

Specific Duties

  • Collaborate with the BIM Manager to implement BIM processes across multidisciplinary projects and contribute to their enhancement.
  • Facilitate the creation of BIM models by coordinating with engineers and technicians.
  • Assist in the multidisciplinary coordination of models.
  • Monitor and coordinate project designs and construction sequence interfaces.
  • Support the development of BIM software and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
  • Ensure data compatibility and consistency within BIM models, making it accessible to all project stakeholders.
  • Encourage the growth and advancement of BIM capabilities within the organization, maintaining an up-to-date BIM project development manual.
  • Work with the design team to ensure that designs are coordinated across projects and disciplines.
  • Produce models or drawings as required based on existing data or project specifications.
  • Perform other related tasks as necessary.

Qualifications

Education: A degree in a relevant field such as Architecture, Technology, or Construction Management.

Experience: A minimum of 3 years in BIM design and implementation within a BIM work environment.

Technical Skills:

  • Experience in delivering projects within an infrastructure or engineering context.
  • Demonstrated ability to leverage technology for complex project delivery.
  • Experience managing design systems for project execution.
  • Familiarity with ISO 19650 standards.
