Project Engineer - Military Systems (Temporary Position)

As a key member of the Engineering team at Bell Flight, the Project Engineer will oversee technical initiatives from inception to completion, ensuring alignment with customer objectives.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop, organize, and manage the engineering design timeline to achieve program goals.
  • Facilitate engineering collaboration to finalize design development.
  • Lead design review sessions with stakeholders.
  • Engage with various departments including engineering, manufacturing, procurement, finance, IT, technical publications, customer support, integrated operations, and quality assurance.
  • Oversee the engineering change process and configuration management activities.
  • Draft project plans utilizing planning tools, establish deliverables, allocate resources, and estimate tasks.
  • Track project advancement and communicate performance updates to the Design Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related discipline.
  • At least three years of experience in aerospace and project management, particularly in military airborne systems.
  • Experience with fleet management for the Royal Canadian Air Force is beneficial.
  • Proven interpersonal, leadership, communication (both verbal and written), and organizational skills.
  • Familiarity with aircraft certification and regulations, particularly in relation to Department of National Defense certification rules is advantageous.
  • Project management certification is preferred.
  • Understanding of the Bell NP&SI process is a plus.
  • Proficient in English; knowledge of French is highly regarded.
  • Competent in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Familiarity with Primavera P6, Enovia, SAP, and MS Project is beneficial.

SECURITY CLEARANCE

The candidate must be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident and will be required to maintain NATO Secret security clearance as mandated by the relevant authorities.
