Job Summary

As a key member of the Engineering team at Bell Flight, the Project Engineer - Griffon Life Limited Extension will be responsible for leading technical projects from conception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and meeting customer objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, organize, and manage the design engineering schedule to support the Griffon Life Limited Extension program goals and objectives.
  • Coordinate engineering efforts to complete the development of the engineering design.
  • Coordinate design reviews with all stakeholders, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration.
  • Collaborate with multiple departments, including engineering, manufacturing, procurement, finance, IT, technical publications, customer support, integrated operations, and quality.
  • Coordinate the engineering/planning change process and configuration management tasks required.
  • Create project plans using planning tools and a phased/gated approach, determining required deliverables, assigning resources, and estimating tasks.
  • Monitor project progress and report project performance status to the Design Manager.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent related field.
  • A minimum of three (3) years of experience in relevant aerospace and project management fields, preferably for a military airborne weapon system.
  • Prior experience with Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF) fleet management is an asset.
  • Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills, leadership skills, communication skills (verbal and in writing), and organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of aircraft certification and regulations, especially in Department of National Defense (DND) TAA certification rules, is an asset.
  • Project management certification is an asset.
  • Knowledge of the Bell NP&SI process is desirable.
  • Functional knowledge of the English language is an absolute must. Functional knowledge of the French language is also highly desirable.
  • Functional knowledge of the Windows Office.
  • Functional knowledge of Primavera P6, Enovia, SAP, and MS Project is an asset.
Security Clearance

The incumbent must be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident and will maintain NATO Secret security clearance as issued by the Controlled Goods Directorate of Canada's Public Services and Procurement Canada and BTCL security officers.
