Job Title: Field Service Automation Technician

We are seeking an experienced Field Service Automation Technician to join our team at ProMach in Richmond BC. As a Field Service Automation Technician, you will be responsible for installing and setting up Wexxar equipment, performing field rebuilds, and providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Install and set up Wexxar equipment at customer sites
  • Perform field rebuilds of Wexxar equipment, including partial or complete rebuilds
  • Provide excellent customer service through troubleshooting and resolving issues over the phone or on-site
  • Assist with engineering on sign-off processes, customer FATs, and provide technical support
  • Troubleshoot PLC, HMI, and servo control issues on Wexxar equipment
  • Identify and resolve electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical issues on Wexxar equipment
  • Advise customers on parts needed and act as a salesperson to recommend parts for purchase
  • Complete service reports, expense reports, and online incident reports on Syteline
  • Travel to customer sites as needed, with flexibility to travel on short notice for customer emergencies
Requirements:
  • Technical college or university trade certification (Millwright, Technician) with 3-5 years of related work experience
  • Experience in a packaging or automation industry is preferred
  • Able to travel within North America 60% of the time
  • Diploma in PLC, HMI, or servo controls, or related experience
  • Strong knowledge of PLC, HMI, and servo controls (Allen Bradley, Siemens, Omron, Festo, Bosch)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks with minimal guidance
  • Valid passport and ability to travel to and within the USA and Canada
  • Own car required with a valid BC Driver's license
