The Opportunity

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented student to join our Commercial Operations team as a Joint Ventures Student. This exciting opportunity will provide you with the chance to work alongside industry-leading professionals and develop valuable skills in a fast-paced operations environment.

As a Joint Ventures Student, you will be responsible for reviewing and validating a high volume of AFEs (Authorization for Expenditure) loaded into the AFE Navigator system. You will also ensure that AFEs are set up and reviewed based on internal procedures, with a focus on partner strategy. Additionally, you will coordinate internal and external Joint Venture Agreements approvals, prepare and track mail ballots and 30-day letters, and support the resolution of disputes with joint venture partners by focusing on root cause analysis.

Key Accountabilities
  • Review and validate AFEs in the AFE Navigator system
  • Ensure AFEs are set up and reviewed based on internal procedures
  • Coordinate Joint Venture Agreements approvals
  • Prepare and track mail ballots and 30-day letters
  • Support dispute resolution with joint venture partners
What You Bring to the Role
  • Currently enrolled in your 2nd, 3rd, or 4th year of an undergraduate degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or a related post-secondary education program
  • Proficient in Word processing and spreadsheet applications (Excel)
  • Business mindset with a daily focus on continuous improvements
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented
  • Effective with time management
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced operations environment
