We are seeking a skilled Insulation Specialist to join our team at Sibwest Building Restoration Inc. as a key member of our building envelope team.
Key Responsibilities- Blueprint Analysis: Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine work requirements and ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Insulation Selection: Select the appropriate type of insulation required for each project, considering factors such as thermal performance, durability, and environmental impact.
- Material Preparation: Measure and cut insulating materials to the required shape and dimensions using hand and power tools, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Application and Installation: Apply and secure insulation using various methods, including spraying, blowing, pasting, strapping, taping, and other application and installation techniques.
- Obstruction Management: Fit insulation around obstructions and between joists and studs, ensuring a seamless and effective installation.
- Finishing Touches: Brush waterproofing cement or other materials over insulating materials to protect against moisture and ensure a durable finish.
- Specialized Tasks: Fabricate and apply removable insulation pads and covers, and estimate costs and materials for each project.
- Environmental Remediation: Remove asbestos, ceramic fibers, lead, and urea-formaldehyde insulation materials from buildings, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for occupants.
- Project Management: Work closely with project managers to ensure timely completion of projects and meet client expectations.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Experience: 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a related field.
- Language: English language proficiency.
- Work Hours: 30 to 40 hours per week.
