Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of sales associates to achieve sales targets and provide excellent customer service
  • Manage inventory levels and merchandise presentation to maximize sales and profitability
  • Develop and implement visual merchandising standards and plans to drive sales and customer engagement
  • Communicate with staff on a daily basis to review sales performance, IPT, and closing ratios
  • Review schedules and make adjustments as needed to ensure proactive response to business needs
  • Motivate and lead staff through personal example, coaching, and teamwork
  • Support the recruitment and selection of superior staff and assist with staff development through coaching, succession planning, and performance appraisals
  • Participate in training sessions to maintain current product knowledge and communicate the latest product trends and innovations
  • Adhere to Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA) and implement health and safety initiatives in the workplace

Requirements

  • 2-4 years of retail experience with progressive management skills and proven leadership ability
  • Highly sales and profit-driven with a high standard of professionalism
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to listen and respond with tact and diplomacy
  • Strong sense of urgency in dealing with business and staff needs
  • Excellent analytical skills and creative abilities as they apply to basic merchandising
