We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Water and Wastewater Project Manager to join our team at Cari. As a key member of our infrastructure delivery team, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all phases of water and wastewater infrastructure projects to ensure works are completed in accordance with the contract documents, on time and budget.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage all phases of water and wastewater infrastructure projects, including design and construction phases.
- Financial and Risk Management/Mitigation, both internal and external.
- Design of water/wastewater infrastructure, including mechanical and biological systems.
- Manage job safety at all times.
- Responsible for regular project progress reports to clients and Cari Managers.
- Demonstrate creativity, foresight, and mature judgment in anticipating and solving project delivery, technical, and client challenges.
- Stay abreast of industry standards and approaches and implement best practices.
- Engage in the technical execution of client assignments through to successful project completion.
- Prepare technical memoranda, planning studies, and design reports.
- Ensure project work is undertaken in accordance with corporate health and safety policies and quality management systems.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering, plus 12 years of experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
- 4+ years of project management experience of projects with a construction value greater than $200M.
- Registration or ability to obtain professional registration with a provisional Engineering Association.
We are looking for candidates with:
- 25+ years of experience in water and wastewater infrastructure delivery.
- Solid technical skills in water/wastewater treatment or municipal/industrial infrastructure, developed within a professional services environment.
- Exceptional client care and service delivery skills.
- Experience in working with geographically dispersed project teams that have successfully delivered major design projects within budget and on schedule.
- Proven project management skills, including PM certifications.
- Experience in alternative delivery models, including DB, PDB, DBFOM.
