Job Title: Technical Project Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Project Manager to join our team at BlackBerry QNX. As a Technical Project Manager, you will be responsible for leading cross-functional project teams and ensuring the successful delivery of complex software projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and execute software releases, ensuring timely and within-budget delivery
  • Manage project schedules, budgets, and resources, ensuring alignment with company goals
  • Collaborate with software developers, group leaders, and contractors to obtain or provide program, technical, and progress data
  • Direct the compilation of required data, including budget, time constraints, contracts, and technical data
  • Help develop detailed schedules for major or complex projects, detailing all activities required for successful completion
  • Be accountable for and mitigating risk factors to successful completion of projects
  • Arrange the distribution of work packages to the responsible function within the company and/or external contractors, ensuring awareness of and commitment to project requirements
  • Monitor progress throughout the project cycle, ensuring cost and time constraints are met and acting to ensure problem resolution, as necessary
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or equivalent experience
  • Proven technical project/program management and software development experience (C/C++/Java) ideally gained within the automotive or embedded software/RTOS domains
  • Experience with software implementation project management, planning, and deployments in an AGILE environment
  • Knowledge of UNIX-based operating systems
  • Experience with managing projects with different time frames
  • End-to-end project ownership experience
  • Skills in project planning and management, decision making, problem resolution
  • Knowledge of applicable programmatic/technical procedures and specifications
  • Skills in effective partnership, innovation, analysis, organization, influence, and communication
  • Experience managing commercial implementation projects in the Embedded and RTOS Market
  • Direct experience with implementing a software development organization's compliance to 2 of the 7 following quality-related standards
