Job Title: Housekeeper

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Housekeeper to join our team at Nanoose Bay Cafe. As a Housekeeper, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our hotel rooms, common areas, and public spaces.

Responsibilities:
  • Cleaning and Maintenance: Sweep, mop, wash and polish floors, dust furniture, vacuum carpeting, area rugs, draperies and upholstered furniture, make beds and change sheets, distribute clean towels and toiletries, stock linen closet, clean, disinfect and polish kitchen and bathroom fixtures and appliances, clean and disinfect elevators, handle and report lost and found items.
  • Guest Services: Attend to guests' requests for extra supplies or other items, provide basic information on facilities, pick up debris and empty trash containers, launder clothing and household linens, wash windows, walls and ceilings, clean changing rooms and showers, address customers' complaints or concerns.
  • Work Environment: Fast-paced environment, work under pressure, tight deadlines, repetitive tasks, handling heavy loads, physically demanding, attention to detail, bending, crouching, kneeling, combination of sitting, standing, walking, overtime required.
  • Requirements: Punctuality, client focus, dependability, efficient interpersonal skills, excellent oral communication, flexibility, initiative, judgement, organized, reliability, team player, excellent written communication, values and ethics.
  • Training and Experience: Will train, permanent employment, 30 to 35 hours per week, English language, public transportation available.
