YOUR NEXT OPPORTUNITY
As a key member of the Geology Department, reporting directly to the Senior Mine Geologist, you will play a vital role in the accurate delineation of mineral resources and the implementation of rigorous production and grade control. Your expertise will be essential in managing exploration activities within the underground mining area to identify potential additions to the ore reserve.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Planning, interpreting, and overseeing underground diamond drilling programs for ore definition and exploration;
- Geologically analyzing assay and diamond drill data using appropriate reserve estimation methods to assess ore block tonnage and grade;
- Providing detailed ore outline, grade, and tonnage profiles for specific work areas, along with monthly forecasts of stope grades;
- Coordinating daily operations with the Engineering, Survey, and Mine Departments;
- Mapping geological features of ore and waste development headings while overseeing the sampling processes;
- Generating production and statistical reports, evaluating and defining mine ore reserves, and optimizing ore grades and mining reserves;
- Performing additional duties as assigned.
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED
- Bachelor's Degree in Science or Geological Technician;
- Registered GIT or P.Geo;
- Strong academic foundation and practical experience in structural geology;
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite applications, particularly Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
