About the Role:
Vancouver Coastal Health is seeking a highly skilled Anesthesiologist to join our team at Vancouver Acute. As a key member of our Department of Anesthesiology and Perioperative Care, you will be responsible for providing high-quality anesthesia care to patients in a tertiary healthcare setting.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with a diverse range of patients and surgical specialties, including neurosurgery, cardiac surgery, thoracic surgery, and more. You will be part of a dynamic team that is committed to delivering exceptional patient care and advancing the field of anesthesiology through research and education.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide anesthesia care to patients undergoing various surgical procedures
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of departmental policies and procedures
- Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in anesthesiology and perioperative care
Requirements:
- Eligibility for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia and the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada
- Completed applicable sub-specialty fellowship training
- Current clinical expertise in a tertiary healthcare setting
- Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA) membership
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
