Key Responsibilities- Provide technical leadership for the delivery of high-quality aquatic science and data collection services.
- Support projects from proposal stage to close-out reporting, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of results.
- Plan and lead field assessments to industry standards, preparing reports for projects across various sectors.
- Lead field programs across northeastern British Columbia, ensuring technical excellence, safety, and quality of deliveries.
- Collaborate with junior, intermediate, and senior staff, sub-consultants, and government agencies to achieve project goals.
- Perform as the technical lead for all aquatic projects, including preparation, design, and implementation of work execution plans.
- Establish water quality monitoring and sampling methodologies, lead water quality monitoring and sampling programs, analyze data, and write summary reports.
- Organize and implement aquatic baseline assessments, operational and compliance monitoring programs, and aquatic impact assessments, including study design, data analysis, and reporting.
- Deliver high-quality, well-written technical reports on time and within budget.
- Compile, manage, and interpret environmental data.
- Prepare or assist with permit applications, environmental assessments, and environmental management plans.
- Registered Professional Designation Required, P.Bio, R.P. Bio.
- Mandatory 5 years minimum of managing small and large scale fisheries studies and developing management reports.
- Experience with environmental assessment.
- Experience with data collection, data analysis, and reporting.
