Job Title: Accounting Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Accounting Technician to join our team at R L Clee Contracting Ltd.

Job Summary:

The Accounting Technician will be responsible for performing various accounting tasks, including preparing cheques for payroll, calculating fixed assets and depreciation, and maintaining financial records. The successful candidate will have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including general ledgers and financial statements.
  • Payroll Processing: Prepare cheques for payroll and ensure timely payment to employees.
  • Financial Analysis: Calculate fixed assets and depreciation, and prepare financial reports as required.
  • Accounting Software: Utilize accounting software, including QuickBooks, to manage financial transactions and prepare financial reports.
  • Tax Preparation: Prepare tax returns and ensure compliance with all tax regulations.
  • Reconciliation: Reconcile accounts and ensure accuracy of financial records.
Requirements:
  • Education: College/CEGEP diploma in Accounting or related field.
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in accounting or related field.
  • Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Work Environment:

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and will be required to work overtime as needed.
