Job Title: Accounting Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled Accounting Technician to join our team at R L Clee Contracting Ltd.

Job Summary

The Accounting Technician will be responsible for performing a variety of accounting and financial tasks, including preparing cheques for payroll, calculating fixed assets and depreciation, and maintaining general ledgers and financial statements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger.
  • Payroll Processing: Prepare cheques for payroll, including calculating salaries, wages, and benefits.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Accounting Software: Use accounting software to record and track financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger.
  • Tax Preparation: Prepare tax returns, including corporate and personal tax returns.
Requirements
  • Education: College/CEGEP diploma in accounting or related field.
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in accounting or related field.
  • Skills: Proficient in accounting software, including QuickBooks and TaxPrep. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

The Accounting Technician will work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines. The successful candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team, and will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
