About the Role

LinHR Consulting Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Employment Equity Consultant to join our team. As an Employment Equity Consultant, you will play a critical role in developing and implementing Employment Equity and Diversity programs that promote a culture of inclusion and respect within our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Implement Employment Equity Plans: Research and develop comprehensive Employment Equity plans that address the needs of our diverse workforce.
  • Establish and Coordinate Diversity Committees: Establish and coordinate various Employment Equity and Diversity Committees to promote a culture of inclusion and respect.
  • Develop Policies and Procedures: Develop policies, guidelines, procedures, and programs related to Employment Equity and Duty to Accommodate.
  • Design and Implement Promotion Strategies: Develop, design, implement, and review Employment Equity and Duty to Accommodate promotion/communications strategy plans and positive measures programs for all designated groups.
  • Manage and Coordinate Programs: Manage, coordinate, and provide advice on Employment Equity, Diversity, and Duty to Accommodate programs.
  • Provide Training and Support: Provide training, information sessions, and presentations to management and employees on Employment Equity and Duty to Accommodate.
  • Conduct Seminars and Workshops: Conduct seminars, workshops, focus groups, and other activities to promote Employment Equity and Diversity.
  • Review and Advise: Review systems and provide recommendations for improvement, and advise HR Systems teams and Information Technology (IT) teams on Employment Equity and Diversity matters.
  • Provide Mentoring and Coaching: Provide mentoring and coaching assistance to employees on Employment Equity and Diversity programs.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree or Above: Bachelor degree or above with a major in human resources management or a related field of study.
  • Professional Designation: Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) designation or relevant professional designation in human resources.
  • Consulting Experience: 10 years of consultant experience.
  • Employment Equity Experience: Experience in developing Employment Equity and Diversity programs, including tools and related activities, and developing training and information sessions on Employment Equity.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent report writing skills and presentation skills to provide guidance and advice to management and employees.
  • Consultation and Facilitation Skills: Demonstrated consultation, facilitation, and relationship building skills to conduct focus groups and interviews in relation to Employment Equity.
  • Bilingualism: Bilingual (English and French) in oral, writing, and reading is required.
