As a key member of our Client Content Services team, you will be responsible for receiving, formatting, and processing client press releases to distribute to the media and other recipients accurately and in a timely manner.

Responsibilities:
  1. Content Processing: Validate and edit press releases to ensure compliance with company standards and objectives.
  2. Media Distribution: Disseminate press releases to the media via Canada Newswire distribution networks.
  3. Social Media Management: Post press releases on various social media platforms.
  4. International Coordination: Coordinate international distribution of press releases with our international affiliates.
  5. Client Support: Act as the point of contact for clients requesting distribution and translation services, providing advice and guidance as needed.
  6. Workload Management: Determine workload priorities and ensure press releases are ready for distribution.
  7. Quality Control: Validate the sender's authority to disseminate press releases and ensure content complies with our content acceptability policy.
Requirements:
  • Education: High school diploma (or equivalent) plus a recognized post-secondary certificate in Journalism, Writing, Communications/PR, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in customer service and/or coordination, with some experience in an editing role and an understanding of the Canadian media landscape.
  • Skills: Strong attention to detail, customer service, and interpersonal skills, with a strong ability to perform tasks under pressure with tight deadlines.
  • Language: Fluent in both English and French.
  • Availability: Shift Sunday-Thursday, 11 PM - 7 AM ET.
Working Environment:
  • Workload: Sustained requirement for multi-tasking, simultaneous multiple urgent demands, and/or work requiring attention to detail, subject to frequent, regular interruptions, or peak periods requiring an accelerated work pace or deadlines.
  • Work Schedule: Salaried job based on 37.5 hours/week, on various schedules (days, evenings, overnights, and weekends) with occasional requirement to work shifts that fall outside of regular shift.

  • Internal Contacts: Manager, Client Content Services, Client Content Specialists, Sales team, Language Coordinator, Regulatory Filing Specialists, Accounting team, Multimedia team, Product team, International affiliates, IT, Client Success team.
  • External Contacts: Clients.
Decision Making:
  • Authority: Present upselling opportunities, make suggestions to clients regarding their press release, determine workload priorities, validate sender's authority, and escalate/refer client issues to Manager, Client Content Services.
