As the facilities maintenance specialist, you will conduct regular inspections to detect potential issues, perform preventive maintenance, execute quality assessments, and coordinate necessary repairs.

Key Responsibilities of the Facilities Maintenance Specialist:
  • Conduct preventive maintenance tasks to avert potential failures and malfunctions.
  • Execute maintenance activities based on visual aids, schematics, written guidelines, and verbal instructions.
  • Diagnose and resolve repair and maintenance requests, including drywall repairs, machinery servicing, equipment maintenance, and light fixture replacements.
  • Address emergency maintenance and repair situations promptly.
  • Install various appliances and equipment as required.
  • Assess the functionality of safety systems, such as fire alarms.
  • Ensure tools, equipment, and workspaces are maintained in safe, clean, and operational conditions.
  • Collaborate with the Inventory Analyst to maintain an adequate supply of maintenance materials and equipment, preventing shortages or surpluses.
  • Keep comprehensive records of daily maintenance activities.
  • Work in conjunction with colleagues and other professionals.
  • Comply with company policies and safety standards.
  • Stay informed about regulations governing building maintenance, fire safety, and utilities, ensuring compliance.
  • Perform routine inspections of the building and equipment to identify emerging issues and report to management.
  • Repair various structures and equipment types, engaging specialists and contracting labor as necessary.
  • Evaluate the condition of aging equipment and plan for replacements.
  • Occasionally assist as a driver for Hallmark to cover for absences.
  • Carry out additional related duties as assigned.
Qualifications for the Facilities Maintenance Specialist:
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in routine maintenance of buildings and equipment.
  • Ability to interpret technical manuals and schematics.
  • Capability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Proficient communication and interpersonal skills in English.
  • High school diploma or equivalent educational background.
  • Technologically adept.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of building maintenance, HVAC systems, small equipment repairs, carpentry, painting, plumbing, and electrical systems.
  • Proficient in the use of hand and power tools.
  • Experience with precision measuring instruments or electronic testing devices.
  • Professional demeanor and attitude.
  • Valid driver's license.
