Job Title: Procurement Manager

Victor Energy is seeking a highly skilled Procurement Manager to lead our powerline procurement efforts. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing procurement strategies tailored to the powerline industry.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement procurement strategies to optimize cost savings and process improvements.
  • Monitor market trends and conditions specific to powerline materials and equipment.
  • Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers based on quality, cost, and delivery performance.
  • Negotiate contracts, terms, and conditions with suppliers and contractors.
  • Ensure compliance with contractual agreements and procurement policies.
  • Manage contract renewals and extensions specific to powerline projects.
  • Oversee the day-to-day procurement activities and ensure timely delivery of powerline materials and services.
  • Manage the procurement team, providing guidance, training, and support.
  • Ensure accurate and up-to-date procurement records and documentation.
  • Monitor procurement budgets and expenditures related to powerline projects.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement measures to reduce expenses.
  • Prepare reports and analyses on procurement activities and performance.
  • Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements related to powerline procurement.
  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with the procurement process.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure ethical and transparent procurement practices.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Business Degree (or similar) is required.
  • Proven experience in procurement, with at least 3 years in a leadership role within the powerline or utility industry.
  • Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in procurement software and tools.
  • Knowledge of procurement best practices and market trends specific to the powerline industry.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including engineering and construction.
