Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Civil Underground Construction Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with labor activities during trenching and laying of pipe, working independently to complete tasks, and ensuring all work is conducted in a safe and responsible manner.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with general labor activities during trenching and laying of pipe.
  • Work independently to complete tasks related to pipe laying on line and grade.
  • Ensure all work is conducted in a safe and responsible manner.
  • Be aware of changes to materials and techniques, and adapt easily to those changes.
  • Operate a variety of hand/power tools and heavy construction equipment.
  • Be aware of proper slinging of pipe and ensure safe work procedures are followed during lowering of materials into the excavation.
  • Load, unload, and move construction materials around the worksite.
  • Manually remove large rocks and debris turned up by graders and other heavy equipment.

Requirements

  • Work well independently and in a team environment.
  • Willing to work long hours and weekends.
  • Knowledge of pipe laying techniques.
  • Valid Class 5 driver's license (Driver's Abstract required).
  • 2-3 years of Heavy Equipment Operation experience (for applicable jobs).
