IT Portfolio Manager

WSP is a global leader in engineering and professional services, delivering innovative solutions to clients worldwide. Our robust IT operation supports employees globally, and we're seeking a talented leader to oversee operational governance and communication aspects of the IT PMO.
Position SummaryThe Portfolio Manager will report to the Director, Office of IT PMO, and be responsible for managing and qualifying business cases for project intake under their portfolio. They will ensure alignment on business needs and initiatives, considering resource planning, risk management, and budgeting.
Main Responsibilities:- Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate and negotiate with senior leaders, promoting a win-win mindset.
- Communication: Effectively communicate with business leadership and One IT leadership pillars.
- Analytics: Capture and assess data at a portfolio level, providing reports for consideration.
- Performance: Provide regular qualitative assessments and recommendations to the business and PMO Governance.
- Process Ownership: Qualify, benefit realization, prioritize initiatives, resource planning, risk management, and budgeting IT PMO portfolios.
- Coach and Mentor: Advocate, coach, and educate the value of the Portfolio Management role to the business.
Requirements:
- Master's degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 5+ years' experience in PMO Portfolio Management at an enterprise level.
- Relevant program/project management qualification (e.g., PRINCE Practitioner, PMP) preferred.
- 5+ years on projects geographically dispersed.
- Proven experience in line management and individual development within a matrix organization structure.
- Strong knowledge of portfolio management processes, project management methodologies, tools, and best practices.
Preferred:
- Excellent written and spoken English required.
- Additional languages an advantage.
- Portfolio Accreditation desired.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with peers and leaders.
