About the Role

The Department of Medicine at the University of Ottawa and The Ottawa Hospital is seeking an academic neurologist to join our esteemed Stroke Neurology program. As a key member of our team, you will contribute to the delivery of exceptional care and advance our research initiatives.

Responsibilities
  • Participate in outpatient stroke care through the Stroke Prevention Clinic, providing expert care to patients and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.
  • Rotate on the Neurovascular Unit, working closely with neurosurgery and vascular surgery to deliver comprehensive care to complex neurovascular patients.
  • Contribute to Ottawa Stroke Program research trials and academic activities, staying at the forefront of stroke research and innovation.
  • Teach medical students, residents, and fellows in outpatient and inpatient settings, sharing your expertise and passion for education.
  • Participate in the Stroke on-call rotation, ensuring seamless coverage and exceptional patient care.
Qualifications

We are seeking a neurologist with a minimum of one year of fellowship training in stroke. The ideal candidate will possess a strong academic background, excellent clinical skills, and a passion for education and research.
