The Ottawa Department of Medicine is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Neurologist to join our Stroke Neurology program as an Academic Position. This is an exciting opportunity for a talented professional to contribute to the delivery of outstanding care and advance the field of stroke neurology.
Key Responsibilities- Participate in outpatient stroke care through the Stroke Prevention Clinic
- Rotate on the Neurovascular Unit
- Participate in Ottawa Stroke Program research trials and academic activities
- Teach medical students, residents, and fellows in outpatient and inpatient settings
- Participate in the Stroke on-call rotation on a regular basis
The ideal candidate will be a neurologist with a minimum of one year of fellowship training in stroke. The successful candidate must hold an MD degree, be a member of, or be eligible to be a member of, the Canadian Medical Protective Association, have, or be eligible for certification in Neurology by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, and have, or be eligible for, licensure in Ontario.
