Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Leadership: Provide senior-level financial guidance and support to the organization, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.

  • Team Leadership: Lead and manage a team of financial professionals to ensure the delivery of high-quality financial services.
  • Strategic Partnerships: Develop and maintain strategic partnerships with key stakeholders, including the CEO, COO, and other senior leaders.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and present financial reports to the leadership team, including monthly operating results, budget variances, and other key financial metrics.
  • Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance financial efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with all financial and tax regulatory requirements.
Requirements
  • Education: Recognized Bachelor's degree in Business, Commerce, or Accounting, with a professional accounting designation (CPA).
  • Experience: Five to eight years of experience in a senior financial role, including leading and developing staff.
  • Manufacturing Experience: Experience in a manufacturing environment, with working and optimizing an ERP system.
  • Transfer Pricing and Tax Experience: Transfer pricing and other tax-related experience would be an asset.
  • Advanced Excel Skills: Advanced Excel skills required.
  • Interpersonal and Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Analytical Skills: Accurate and detail-oriented, with solid analytical skills.
  • Initiative and Flexibility: Ability to take initiative, be assertive in completing tasks, and handle a variety of activities concurrently.
  • Change Management: Effective change agent in the development and identification of new procedures to accommodate procedural changes.
  • Language Skills: Bilingualism (French, English, both oral and written) required due to the multi-site locations.
  • Travel: Ability to travel once a quarter to manufacturing sites located in Montreal and Edmonton.
