Retail Services Manager

At H&R Block Canada, we are seeking a highly skilled Retail Services Manager to join our team. As a key member of our retail operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the organization's retail capital expenditure program, construction management, facility services, and vendor management.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage capex for all retail locations to ensure timely and budget-friendly execution.
- Lead project management efforts, including weekly calls with real estate representatives, architects, and telecom teams.
- Generate purchase orders as required for all capex projects and requests.
- Review and approve field capex requests for minor work or projects.
- Work with vendors to generate sign renderings for approval.
- Manage field requests for maintenance repairs, damages, site issues, and coordinate resolution with general contractors and field leaders.
- Oversee and coordinate incident claims caused by third parties or the elements to ensure responsible party action.
- Work with vendor partners to ensure timely activation and deactivation of locations.
- Establish and manage key vendor relationships, conducting annual reviews as needed.
- Collaborate with operations leaders, furniture vendors, and architects to establish design standards for permanent locations and temporary kiosks.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or relevant education.
- Minimum 5 years' experience in capex project management.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Store design and space planning is an asset.
- Lease management is an asset.
- Good knowledge of retail leasing and leasing processes.
- Strong organizational, time management, and multi-tasking skills.
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills with French as an asset.
- Very strong attention to detail.
- Knowledge in construction management and facility services.
- Ability to summarize and report key information in a timely manner.
- Strong vendor management skills.
