Job Description

Job Title: Accounting Supervisor

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Accounting Supervisor to join our team at ASSA ABLOY Sicherheitstechnik GmbH. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a portion of our Accounting department, focusing on financial operations, risk management, and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and mentor Accounting staff to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Develop and implement internal controls to ensure financial accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate financial risks.
  • Prepare and review financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with external auditors, tax authorities, and other stakeholders.
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in financial regulations and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Provide guidance and support to Accounting staff on financial matters.
  • Participate in budgeting and forecasting processes to ensure accurate financial planning.
  • Identify areas for process improvement and implement changes to increase efficiency and productivity.
  • Develop and maintain a culture of continuous learning and professional development within the Accounting team.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in accounting, with a focus on financial operations and risk management.
  • Proficiency in financial software, including JD Edwards.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information.
